Poetry in the Brew

Life is a series of little tin boxes where we hide our secrets and “dirty dishes.”
Butterfly is dedicated to the sharing of those secrets –to all those who reach out to one another who help to love all those secrets free.

Butterfly lives in Nashville, Tennessee. She is an active member of the Nashville Creative Community of Artists.  She has five children, eighteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  Butterfly’s family and friends were her inspiration for Grandma Butterfly’s Dirty Dishes.

Butterfly‘s new book:

(an excerpt from the poem Tin Boxes)

To my porch

Friends and strangers bring

highly decorated

tightly locked

Tin boxes

Filled with closely guarded secrets.

We open them together

Admiring their contents

Seeing their similarities

Sharing their blessings

And loving them free…
