January Feature Dave Cuomo

Dave CuomoDave Cuomo has recently returned to poetry after spending several years songwriting and touring with the anarcho folk punk band Chicken Little. He studied poetry at the University of Colorado, and is the former editor and co-founder of the New York based acoustic fanzine Urban Folk. His work was most recently published in Tour Sucks, an anthology of stories from the road put out by Plan-It X records. He is currently the chef/owner of the Bella Nashville Pizzeria and the Bella Nashville Bakery.

January Guest Host Walker Bass

TreeWalkerWalker Bass received a certificate from the Writer’s Loft (MTSU) in January, 2013, where Jeff Hardin and Kory Wells were his mentors. Walker currently works as a caregiver for his father-in-law, prepares his meals, etc. From 2008 to 2010 he ran a neighborhood soup business – taking orders, making and delivering soup. Walker has “thru-hiked” the Appalachian Trail twice. Both were six month endeavors. He now studies and practices Mindfulness. Beauty, exercise and the rising heart are important to him. Walker has been published in the journals Blast Furnace, Nashville Arts Magazine, Number One and Third Wednesday among others. He and his wife live in Nashville.
