in search of the child
who as an infant
was lullabied to Lethe
by the womankind fragrance
of his mother’s safe breast
and dreamed a poet
turned 70.

Vontrapp

Some kids are planned.
Some kids arrive without an actual plan where,
the coupled only have a general sense of expectation rather than any planned path. “we will have kids at this time over here
or we will have kids sometime.”
Either one lends the idea of balance,
and they both get what ends up being average.
What most people are. Not out of the ordinary.
There are some instances where a couple will facilitate an accident,
or “oops baby”.
This pretty much ends in one or more of the following 5 ways.
Single parenthood, Marriage, late in life parents, adoption, or termination.
I was not any of these.
I was a trap
