May Feature Sommer Jade

Born in Okinawa, Japan, Sommer Jade was raised in Nashville, Tennessee, where she found her love for creative writing. She is a graduate of Tennessee State University, with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Music, and currently pursuing a Master’s in Poetry from Southern New Hampshire University.

Jade began singing at the age of 4 and writing at age 9. Her inspiration comes from life experience. Jade has performed at many functions, mostly at Fifth Fridays, an event hosted by Mount Zion Baptist Church. She has worked artists such as Irocc Williams, Nashville’s Andre the Poet, Atlanta’s Terri Davis, and her father, Ronald Adwaters. Well known for her authentic and sincere verses, Jade credits the Infinite, who she considers to be the Real Poet.
